Zillow Group is looking for a Transaction Management Associate to assist with our asset sale efforts for the Mortgage segment. This position reports directly to the Transaction Manager, Mortgage Capital Markets and is responsible for working across functional teams to maintain controlled operational processes that allow for seamless and continuous placement of loans originated by Zillow Home Loans and realize targeted gain on sale margins. The Transaction Management team develops, negotiates, and formalizes contracts with new servicing buyers and ensures that all existing contractual obligations for all investors/servicers are met.
Assist Capital Markets team with development efforts to sell directly to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, Whole Loan aggregators, and non-agency Investors
Coordinate with Capital Markets trade desk and loan delivery teams for loan and servicing sales. Troubleshoot transaction issues and provide recommendations for operational improvement
Support Transaction Manager with distressed loan sales as needed
Reconcile investor purchase advice and compare the execution relative to expectations, provide analysis and feedback to Transaction Manager
Review and reconcile post-sale items such as holdback, EPO/EPD invoices, escrow releases, note transfers/re-certifications, and post-fund data corrections
Build out reporting to monitor and manage loan sale pipeline as needed
Manage note release process with multiple warehouse banks
Monitor collateral reports, communicate with custodians, and raise collateral concerns to Management
Work with Servicing team to resolve any servicing transfer related issues and function as a liaison between Zillow Home Loans teams and servicing buyers
This role has been categorized as a Hybrid position. “Hybrid” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 10 to 80 percent of their time each month, and the rest of the time they may work from a remote physical location of their choice within a reasonable commuting distance from the corporate office which must be identified to the Company in advance. The Recruiter and Hiring Manager will set expectations on the employee’s preferred time in office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $21.60 – $32.40 Hourly. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
BA/BS with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment to improve results
Highly proficient in MS Office applications
Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and data driven organization
