The /Managing Director, Global Alternative Wealth Product Manager will develop, structure, position, and implement investment strategies which are intended to serve Nuveen’s Europe and Asia Pacific wealth client base. In addition, the Managing Director will assess and maintain the competiveness of established products from an investment and business performance perspective. The Product Manager will achieve results through idea generation and collaboration with distribution, senior investment management, asset class product leads, legal & compliance, marketing, operations, and finance personnel.

With a focus on supporting the Europe region, with supplemental support in APAC, the role will focus on alternative products for the wealth channel. Creates strategic product plans for global wealth products. The plans will evaluate and refine assigned products, investment vehicles, and their distribution, based on financial, internal capabilities, market, and operational considerations; plans will include implementation, marketing and sales components.Local expert for product innovation around wrapper types and client trends in order to deliver Nuveen capabilities to private banks and wealth intermediaries.Leads structuring of products or accounts, working closely with distribution, global investments, legal, accounting, and client servicing teams.Drives overall launch and implementation of new products and sub-advisory services through coordinating cross-functional teams and project management; and will include managing the internal governance and approval processOversees, monitors, and evaluates alternative products for performance, style consistency, and profitability; identifies product gaps, as well as other issues and concerns around product management; implements procedures for filling gaps and takes corrective action, including internal development, team lift-outs and acquisitions, while mitigating risks and considering regulatory obligations.Serves as subject matter expert, providing guidance and detailed product information to distribution and clients for due diligence questions, client servicing, offering memoranda, and other purposes.Ensures products are compliant with local regulatory requirements.
BA, specializing in finance, investments, law or engineering required.10+ years of direct experience in asset management, preferably working in investment related functions.5 + years of direct experience with structuring and launching alternative productsDirect experience with global regulated structures (ELTIF, UCITS II, SICAV, LTAF) and private vehicles (Cayman Partnerships, Unit Trusts)Strong knowledge of alternative asset classes including hedged strategies, private equity, private debt and real assetsStrong client presentation and analytical skillsStructuring experience with investment management, either from sell-side/buy-side firm or a reputed law firmCultural fit and desire to work in a team environmentRelevant level 4 FCA recognised qualification essential e.g. IMC, CFA level 1 or CIIA
