In this role, you will identify sales opportunities within Red Hat’s emerging technologies across key industry trends like cloud, storage, middleware, and mobile. Working closely with sales specialists and account managers, you’ll use a consultative sales approach to qualify sales-ready opportunities. You’ll need to understand complex business problems and industry trends and use this information to profile and tailor Red Hat’s value propositions when engaging with end users. As a Market Development Representative, you will cooperate with stakeholders from across Red Hat, including marketing, sales, and partner teams. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Identify new sales opportunities across predefined solutions areas within the Red Hat portfolioLook for potential customers through a variety of techniques, including social media and other tools, to find new business opportunitiesIdentify and align Red Hat’s solutions to meet customer needs or requirementsEnsure that outbound activity is in line with set targets and objectivesUse concise messaging to target a variety of industry verticals and contactsAdjust activity and behavior based on pipeline coverageEnsure that customer relationship management (CRM) systems are maintained and updatedMaintain an up-to-date knowledge of the industry and of Red Hat’s competitive position in itSupport team members and other associatesRepresent Red Hat to the customer and vice versa in all sales-related matters
Detailed knowledge of the sales cycle within an information technology (IT) organizationKnowledge of consultative sales techniques like solutions selling sales methodology1+ year(s) of internal account management or business development experiencePrevious experience managing outbound activitiesAbility to work both on your own and as part of a teamComfortable presenting thoughts, ideas, and stories of success to the businessExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness and motivation to learn and grow in an innovative technology companyNative speaker-level language skills in French AND Arabic, with excellent communications skills Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical degree is a plusPrior experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC) is a plus
