Pratt & Whitney, a Raytheon Technologies Company, is looking for an MES Solution Architect to join our Digital Technology (DT) Digital Manufacturing Applications team. This individual will be involved in the delivery of designing, developing, enhancing, and implementing software solutions within Pratt & Whitney’s Center of Excellence (COE) for enterprise Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), as well as integrations with other enterprise products for our internal Operations customers. The position is based remotely and up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required. Due to customer locations in different time zones, customer meetings can occur outside normal business work hours.
The Manufacturing Execution System (MES) architect will work in close conjunction with the MES application functional owners and will work to be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of the MES application to ensure the availability and consistent performance of Solumina across the global enterprise. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be the go-to person in charge of analyzing and recommending application operational enhancements on application and database servers – on prem and cloud. The candidate will be involved in making architectural decisions on load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, storage architectures, and archival strategies.
A key requirement is the ability to champion coordination on issue resolutions and Root Cause Analysis and follow through on implementing the identified changes. Strong organization skills and focus on customer success is required.
Strong collaboration with vendor service providers in the design and development of MES Application using Enterprise Architecture Frameworks. Desirable to have an understanding of business components based on established architectural patterns for developed Java/JEE components, frameworks, and libraries.
Candidate must be capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced agile environment.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD – 196,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
