SCHOOL ATTORNEY
The Madison-Oneida BOCES and The Broome-Tioga BOCES are seeking a shared school attorney to perform legal work related to vendor management needs. This position is responsible for managing needs throughout the contract life cycle. School attorney will work with BOCES technology leaders to manage vendor contracts, risk, relationships, and performance. Additionally, attorney will advise the BOCES and client districts regarding state and federal laws relevant to the use of technology in public schools with the potential to impact the BOCES legal and policy compliance. Qualifications include admission to the bar in New York State and four (4) years of experience as a practicing attorney.
Applicants with expertise related to NYS procurement requirements, the negotiation of contracts, managing technology risk, and state and federal laws are encouraged to apply. The school attorney will be responsible for performing legal work for two BOCES and must be comfortable using telework technologies and strategies.
